The Tentative Annual Program Calendar for the academic year 2007-2008 with respect to Junior and Composite Degree Colleges in the State offering Intermediate course in General and Vocational Courses is as follows.  The Board has resolved to rationalize the academic calendar by fixing the number of working days to 226 both for the First and Second Year Intermediate students.

Date of Reopening of colleges after summer vacation for the academic year 2008-2009

All the Principals are requested to follow the instructions furnished hereunder:

01. In addition to the above vacation all Sundays, Second Saturdays and Public holidays declared by the Government of Andhra Pradesh should be strictly observed as holidays.

02. No instruction and no tests should be conducted on Sundays, Second Saturdays, Public holidays, Mid-term holidays, Christmas holidays and Sankranthi holidays.

03. Admissions should be made only in accordance with the admission schedule announced by the Board of Intermediate Education.

04. No private junior college will be permitted to take admissions for the academic year 2007-2008 without obtaining affiliation.

05. No college should employ marketing strategies like appointing public relation officers or any such personnel for canvassing their case.

06. No college should release advertisements about the Intermediate course until the admissions schedule is announced by the Board.

07. No advertisement should be carried out through hoarding, pamphlets, wall writings etc.

08. No advertisement should be made through electronic media.

09. The premises of the junior college should not be used for any other purpose.

10. No candidate shall be denied hall ticket without any valid reason/s and without the prior consent of the authorities concerned.

Any violation of the above would lead to severe action on the managements including disaffiliation of the college.
